How do clear aligners work?

Your Customized Treatment Plan:

We will use the iTero® digital scanning system to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile!

We are proud to be a certified provider of Spark aligners and a Platinum Plus provider of Invisalign. 

Clear Aligners:

Your custom-made aligners will be virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening. 

Our orthodontist will determine the movements for your teeth. To achieve these, you will have small clear attachments glued to your teeth for the duration of the treatment. These create forces which move your teeth.

For the best results clear aligners are to be worn for 22 hours a day. They are taken out only to eat, drink (water is okay!) and clean teeth. 

Clear aligner trays are not only smooth and comfortable to wear, but they’re also removable - so you can continue doing all the things you normally would, from brushing and flossing to eating whatever you like!

Your Progress:

As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. Most patients change their aligners every week, though this is dependent on your compliance and how your teeth move - we will work with you to find a schedule that is right for you.

We will schedule regular appointments to check in with you (usually every 6 to 12 weeks) either in-person or virtually. 

Taking Care of Your New Smile:

When your treatment is complete, retainers are custom-made using the same state-of-the-art technology.
